His confusion was once again becoming quite evident, not only in his facial expressions, but his mannerisms also. He hated the fact, that the vampire had a point. They did survive by killing innocent animals, but it was still different. It had to be different. Vampires were the murderers, not them. Humans weren't all evil...Most of them weren't anyway. "Thats not true." He stated, but felt the added pressure when the vampire came closer and halted. The presence of the vampire so close was intimidatingly frightening, and it wasn't something he was used to experience. After all, he hadn't been in this posistion for a long time.
"You are the murderers!" He again stated, with the tone in his voice becoming more darker, showing signs of anger. Vampires were the reason his girlfriend was dead...Slaughtered right before his eyes. That held no self-respect, as the vampire believed did.
He didn't know how much longer he could even control himself...He was still getting other the realities before him, and now he had to deal with this. His gaze moved back up to that of the vampire's, once again glimpsing into his deep, dark eyes. He felt fearful, but he also felt many over emotions within him. And if this vampire kept going, he may no longer be able to control them. He turned his back, running his hands through his short hair slowly, as if thinking of something to say. Maybe turning his back to the vampire was the wrong move, but it was seen as the right one for him.

The Slayer had turned his back on a vampire? It was shocking, no one ever turned their back on Maddox for any reason but to run once they knew he was a threat. Odd, this Zane Slayer. Either that or very foolish. Maddox clicked his tongue on the roof of his mouth. "Tisk, tisk Slayer." He crooned tart disappoint dripping from his tone.
Maddox advanced further, now leaving only centimeters between them. He was certain that, if he wasn't already, Zane was feeling the waves of chill that emanated off his cold body. "Do you think it wise to turn your back on me?" Maddox leaned in whispering harshly. The thought that Zane's actions had been from a lack of fear had come to him. It was a smidgen upsetting.
His eyes burned into Zane's back anger flushing through them. He could very well snap his neck in an instant and the Slayer had set himself up for that completely. Then it would be too easy. Maddox wanted a challenge and wanting him to suffer. Test him. Maddox's mind screamed. It was a suggestion that he was incapable of ignoring. His hand shot out and grasped the back of the Slayers neck squeezing hard enough to inflect pain but not enough to break anything. Test of strength.

He closed his eyes, almost in agitation, or to ignore the words of the vampire, as the chilling words left his mouth. It was true, vampire's seemed to enjoy talking a lot, and messing with the mind. This had always angered him, and at the same time, annoyed him. He felt the movement of the vampire upon him, and before he got the opportunity to turn back around, the vampire had gripped him tightly by the neck, and began squeezing. He hadn't felt pain like this since he chose to ignore his destiny and hide from it. And boy had he missed having this kind of pain inflicted upon him. Though, at the same time, he didn't care. He had lost everything in life, and all the pain in the world couldn't change that. He wasn't afraid of taking pain.
Zane gasped, breathing more heavily...Heart racing, as he felt the strong grip of the man tighten around his neck. He was unprepared, and apparently blind to what was happening around him. He wasn't even sure what to do...He hadn't done this for so long, it was almost like a part of him had been dormant for so long...And it had no choice but to awake. To unveil from the shadows.
He slung his hand behind his head, grabbing the strong arm of the vampire, trying to lever it away from his neck, which did prove difficult. "I don't give a damn whats wise." He managed to pull the arm off from around his neck, and was rather suprised that he was able to do so. Although he knew he possessed such great strength compared to many, it felt so weird to be using it again...He didn't want to use it again, still didn't. He turned to face the vampire, still showing a look of fear and concern, as he backed back slowly. He wasn't ready for a fight...He had too mcuh pain inside of him. He had to go...If he kept trying, eventually it would all go away. He had to believe that. He turned around again, beginning to run in the opposite direction, though stumbled over his own self, slowing him down.

Maddox's arm jerked off of Zane's neck from the force of the Slayer. He had under estimated his strength a poor move on his part. The boy just needed a push to bring out the inner bad ass. A challenge was what he wanted and it seemed that it was precisely what he was getting. What he really needed was to figure out Zane's trigger. What would set the Slayer off into a rage, make him eager to fight? It was something that Maddox would have to pry out of him over time. At least he would have something to keep him busy.
"Leaving so soon?" Maddox called after Zane's retreating figure in a smooth voice. He didn't bother chasing after him there was no need too. Maddox only pursued his food and the Slayer wasn't on tonights menu. He needed to find something to eat before sun rise and already Maddox could smell its approach. There was no time to further his torment of Zane however appealing it would be. He wondered if that woman he heard previously would still be around taking her dog for a walk. Surely she would be a tasty treat.

Zane paused, mid step, at the vampire's words. He sighed, as he knew he was making a mistake in running...Or was he? "Its what you want, isn't it?" He said rather nervously, trying to remain calm under the pressures put before him. If he ran, he was putting someone's life at risk, and he just couldn't do that. He had to stay. He was the slayer, and no matter how much he wanted to ignore it, it would inevitably catch up with him in the end, as seen so far.
He turned, showing signs of disappointment, and slight cautiousness for what he was about to do. "I leave...And you find something to kill. I can't let you do that." He didn't appear very confident in his words, but they were entirely meaningful to him. He glanced slightly at the vampire in distance of him, and began walking foward, now motionlessly. He was terrified for what he was getting himself into. Did that make him a coward...Or a smart young man? He wasn't sure of the answer to this question, but he had a feeling he was soon to find out.
He tried to make himself angry, as he walked even closer, now within a few steps from the vampire, leaving not much of a gap between them. He eyed him intensly, finding the strength to clench his fist, and send it straight to the vampire's head. He was suprised that he was able to control his arm long enough to do that...The force he felt in the punch, was unbelievable. It was bringing back so many memories...Emotions, all too much. He felt like he was suffocating in his own pain. But, it was too late. He had started a fight, he may not be able to turn his back on. The war had begun.

Maddox made no attempt to move or block the hit. He wanted to experience, first hand, a punch from a Slayer. His face twitched at the impact, head slightly shifting its position by force. That would be the last time Maddox willingly let a Slayer, or at least this Slayer, hit him. His face vamped out- teeth sharpening into vicious fangs, eyes turning a deep yellow, animalistic in appearance, lines covered his once handsome face scrunching his features. It was a common reaction for any vampire but it had never happened to Maddox before without his doing. This had been instinctual.
A growl ripped through the air and he pounced upon Zane. His movements were quick and advanced. All the strength and precision coming without effort on Maddox's part. So many benefits came from being a creature of the night. He was stronger, faster, impervious to disease and old age, his senses were sharper and far more evolved than any normal humans. The fact about the sun was a disadvantage but nothing that but too much of a damper on his fun. It was a fraction of a second before Maddox's fist was plummeting toward the gut of Zane.

He was rather suprised, yet relieved, that his shot had successfully hit Maddox, seemingly taking him by suprise also. However, his moment of satisfaction was over momentarily, when the vampire's face morphed into that of a vampire...The demonic face, so terrifying. The eyes were even more dangerous than they had appeared before. He hadn't seen the face of a vampire since the moment he saw one drain his girlfriend dry.
He could see everything...The blood...The tears...The agony. He couldn't take it, yet he was forced to witness these memories and painful experiences first hand. There was nothing he could do, but feel the pain...Feel like his skin was ripping away from his body...Wishing it was. The emotions running through his body were intense. That, and the feelings he was recieving from the presence of this vampire.
His jaw slightly dropped, and his face went pale rather fast. He had lost control of everything again, and could barely move, trying to overcome the pain of the memories now haunting him. He felt the punch come at him hard in the gut, and he gasped, this time noise coming out from his mouth. He couldn't deny the pain, and the fact that he was taken off guard, as he fell to his knee, clutching his gut tightly in pain, shaking also from the horrific images trapped within his mind. In mere moments, he had gone from powerful, to powerless. Did he really have any true power against this vampire? Or was he just lying to himself, yet again?

"Come now," Maddox encourage by way of taunting. His voice was slightly different than it had been with his human face. The effects of the vampire face reaching further than just appearance. It was deeper, his voice, in this form- had more of an arrogance to it which was saying a lot considering. "I thought Slayers were tougher than that." He stooped down so that he was eye level with Zane, his hands resting casually on his slightly bent knees. Maddox's head tilted to the side so he could better see the expression on the Slayers face. Could it be defeat looming in those eyes of his?
"Get up." Maddox demanded but didn't bother allowing Zane to do it himself. Maddox wanted more of that fire, more of that first punch the fight was seeming to be short lived. It was no fun if it was this easy. Determined to make this entertaining for his own sick pleasure Maddox grabbed the collar of his shirt and lifted him off the ground with ease. He held the boy just high enough so that Zane's feet scratched over the earth. Fingers wrapped securely to the shirt twisting the material for leverage.

He sighed, feeling defeated just by the pain surfacing within his mind. He couldn't fight...Not when he had all these things in his mind...Painful things. The vampire was mocking him, yet he couldn't retaliate...He had nothing to say, or do for that matter. His hands were shaking, which he tried to ignore, but failed. He wanted to say something in retaliation to the vampire's sneer comment about slayers, but he couldn't find the words. He was even considering the fact that maybe the vampire was right. Maybe slayers weren't as strong as they were thought to be, and vampires such as this one possessed more power over them.
He listened to the demand of the vampire, and almost instructively, felt the need to get up, but he didn't get the chance. The vampire had hoisted him in the air by his collar with ease, with his feet barely touching the hard ground. His collar was choking him, due to the way the vampire was holding him. He tried struggling by moving his legs, but it just made it worse. It was in no way helping his escape. He glanced back at the vampire, still with fear present in his eyes, as he moved his hands towards his collar, and tried breaking free, but failed. It was more difficult to do so, when in the air and being choked. He continually tried pulling the vampire's hands off of him, but continued to fail miserably. "J-just kill me...I have nothing to live for anyway." He stated, rather cold heartedly. It was true though. When one loses everything in life, it just comes naturally to feel this way. And he did, very much.
The power the vampire had over him at this current moment, made his demand seem like it would be coming true, in any moment. He wanted it to just be ended right here and now, and be able to see those he loved again. But did he really want to see them? He had appeared to find a liking to distancing himself from everything and anything, and had learnt to adapt to this kind of lifestyle. He wasn't ready for anything else. Anything else, meant he would be stepping out of his rather thin comfort zone.

Already begging for death, that was skill- only it wasn't. Underlying circumstances were influencing the Slayers wish for death not Maddox's superiority. That wasn't how he was hoping things went down. He couldn't have such a meek effect on Zane that would defeat the purpose of his self-fulfillment of killing his first Slayer.
His mind was reeling in thoughts making his grip slacken. The Slayer wasn't going any where so it wasn't prudent to keep a watchful eye on the boy. His suffering was eating him up inside, what the cause was eluded Maddox however. If only he knew Zane's past, his trauma, he could effectively crush him into a even more useless protector of humans. But he knew nothing.
How could he bring emotional pain to the Slayer with virtually no knowledge of his trigger? It was a bit of a challenge until Maddox really thought about it. When the idea clicked in his mind the grip tightened once more and he raised Zane higher in the air. "No, I don't think I will kill you," He plastered on a wolfish smirk. "I think instead I'll turn you." Immortalize a Slayer, had that ever been done?

This vampire appeared to want to kill a slayer...But on his own terms. This could work to Zane's own advantage, as the vampire wouldn't kill a defenceless slayer. That was who he thought he wanted to be, until the vampire lifted him higher, and tightened the grip. And mentioned that he would turn him into one of this own.
This had sent sharp chills down the spike of Zane, and he felt even more fearful. He didn't fear dying, but being turned into a souless creature, was terrifying to say the very least. He couldn't bear letting this vampire have the satisfaction of doing that, and knew he no longer had a choice, but to fight. He bursted with anger. He wouldn't turn into the creature that killed his girlfriend. "No!" He shouted, as best he could with the tight grip pressuring his neck. He began struggling, then out of instinct rather than thought, pressed his legs against the vampire's chest, and placed his hands on the vampire's wrists, before pushing them off, and flipping over, able to land in a standing posistion. He had suprised himself in doing this move. He didn't know he was capable, but under threats of being turned into an evil being...Anything was possible.
His face was shadowed with anger. "I would never become one of you!" He then sent another punch at the vampire's head. If this vampire wanted a fight, he was definantly going to recieve one.

Adrenaline now coursed through the Slayers body making him free himself from Maddox's clutches. Finally! Maddox thought having the urge to shout out his triumph, the Slayer was feisty and plump for a brawl. One button on Zane's controls that had been discovered, Maddox wondered, briefly, how many there were to be known.
Zane's move was impressive and the surprise in himself for performing it even more so. Maddox's eyes darted to the boys new position, fighting stance following in the action. There was some fun to be had here after all. Pleasing result from his simple heckling.
The Slayers fist was soaring toward Maddox's head but this time he was defensive. His reflexes acting quickly as he ducked the presence of the hit grazing dangerously close, clipping the side of his face. It sent a sharp jolt through his skull, power indeed. Maddox had some of his own though. The hit was disorienting but not enough to keep him from dashing to Zane's left side hoping to blind sight him. His own fist rushed forward intending to connect with the Slayer's kidney. Spontaneous actions had taken over Maddox all his motor functions relying completely on instinct.

The vampire wasn't quick enough to dodge his attack, which did bring some relief to his mind, knowing he was able to inflict damage on the vampire. His punch had clipped the side of the vampire's head, ultimately showing the vampire not to mess with the slayer. Even one who is still trying to find his way.
His moment of relief was short lived however, as the vampire sent a strong punch towards the side of his body, forcing Zane to gasp in sheer pain. It was not the kind of fight he was anticipating upon, but he knew he would have to get through the unbearable pain, if he wanted to survive. He held his side, as he cringed his face slightly, before easing it back into its focused state. Feeling the frustration build up inside him from the shot, he sent a kick to the gut of the vampire, which he would follow up with a roundhouse kick. If this vampire wanted to mess with the slayer, he would be the one to regret it in the end.
The emotion inside him was reaching its peaks. It was obvious that this vampire knew how to mess with his mind. Even when he tried to hide out the feelings, or ignore the remarks, he just couldn't. The vampire had a way of getting inside his head, and in many ways, weaken him. He needed a plan, and he needed one fast. He wasn't going to let a vampire like this one go free, and kill innocents, just like his girlfriend. It would go against everything he believed in, if he even believed in anything anymore.
The broises were one of the many things he didn't miss about slaying. But now, they were bound to return, and this saddened him. Slowly, the life he ran away from, was reforming right before his eyes, and there was nothing he could do. Why was this vampire in that very spot...On the same night as he went out for a wander? Was this his destiny? Why couldn't he change it?

Sweet satisfaction, Zane's sharp intake of breath brought a cruel, pleasured smirk to Maddox's face. The force of the hit had made the Slayers body bend and contort unnaturally. He could just imagine the damage that would cause. The air would be forced from his body giving Maddox a moment or two of gloating time. Maddox took a step back bouncing on the balls of his feet, effectively dancing around the Slayer in a cocky fashion. Bad move on his part. It seemed to be a reoccurring theme with the vampire. Although he had previously decided, after the knock to the jaw, not to underestimate the strength the kid had Maddox was still underestimating Zane's abilities as a whole. First timing fighting a Slayer gave Maddox an arrogant approach that he was yet to be killed.
The foolish underestimating resulting in a blow to the gut. The Slayer seemed to have packed a lot of power to the kick making Maddox stumble back several steps. If he breathed it surely would have taken his breath away. But instead his toned abs just stung, he rubbed the spot, doubled over slightly, and looked up just in time to see a roundhouse kick flying at his face. Maddox wasn't ready to let loose and give it his all. He didn't want to kill the Slayer yet. Not only that but another problem was starting to rise, the sun. Maddox needed to book it to safety before he burst into flames, a minor set back.
Quickly, Maddox leaned back to avoid the kick, just barely. "We'll finish this later." He promised fully intending to do just that. The Slayer had the unfair advantage of the sunrise and Maddox was partial to being the one with the upper hand. He needed to come up with a better plan, maybe get some others involved. Maddox glanced at the orange slice of morning coming over the horizon and ran to find the closest sewer access.
