Kyle reclined against the tree, his eyes looking around the nature around him. Not many people every came to the forest, and if they did it was a big place, so the odds of Kyle running into anyone was low. Which suited Kyle just fine. He came here to relax and have some alone time anyway. Either that or for privacy, like now.
Kyle sat back up and slid back against the tree, using it to prop himself up as he grabbed the tome lying beside him. Since he was alone he thought he would try out a new spell he had found - one that would be quite handy if a vamp ever trie to have him for dinner.
He placed a small ball of paper about ten feet away from him and then flicked his eyes back to the book, going over the spell one last time. Goddess knows what could happen if he made any mistakes. He took a deep breath, and then said the words. "Incindere!"
Not a second after the last syllable left his mouth he felt the energy surge through him and out of him, and then the ball of paper wall ablaze, as it someone had held matches against it. Now it looked more like a fireball than paper that was on fire. Kyle couldn't help the excited, relieved laugh that left him. He watched in fascination as the paper burned and crumpled, curling in on itself until it started to resemble a pile of char rather than paper.

Ella thought it to be a wonderful day for a picnic. She'd been dying to go on one for weeks now, but found something to always get in the way. She'd taken her moped far from the city and found herself with nature upon this forest. She opened up the compartment under her seat and pulled out the narrow picnic basket she'd brought including her colorful blanket. She smiled and thought, This is great. I'm such a nerd...
She pulled along her moped to a more secluded area before leading her way through the unknown forest. As she began to walk through, she released a deep breath which seemed to cleanse her of the tension she began to start feeling after she realized she really needed to find a job. She'd been spending her graduation money and getting the occasional check from home, but knew it was time to face the real world. However, today she wanted to release any tension she faced and start to leisurely think of what she could go into.
As she passed a couple of trees, she noticed a flare of some type in her peripheral vision and heard a faint murmur. She turned her head and saw some light flicker in the distant and as she continued to walk she swore she saw a flame. Confused and not wanting to get involved, she kept walking, but her gut told her otherwise. How could she possible walk away from a possible forest fire? No way. She headed to go check it out.

Kyle smiled down at the paper, which was now ash, elated that the magicks had gone right for him. Well, his task completed he stood, retrieving his book and holding it against his side...but now what to do? The day had barely started...Maybe call Zane? Homework...boring... He paced around, trying to find somethine that he could do to pass the time, occasionally gazing back down at the still burning ash. Maybe he could try that again, with something that burns less easily? But what? He definately couldn't do it to a tree! That would cause a fullblown forest fire...come to think of it...he probably shouldn't be messing with fire in a forest anyway...

Ella came closer to the initial site where she spotted the floating fire. She peered through the vast array of branches and bushes and saw Kyle. She tilted her head in confusion and kept quietly approaching. She wondered, What could he be doing all the way out here? and Why is he playing with fire? Then again, she was all by herself, all the way out here with only the intention of a picnic, what was his intention?
She brushed by some more bushes before reaching the open ring where he stand. She reached her body around a tree and continued to walk behind some bushes before saying, "Hello, stranger."
